I was born in New Jersey, USA. At the age of four I moved to England for a year, where I started school, and the first of what would become many significant journeys. At age eleven, my parents pulled my sisters and I out of school, and we travelled all over the United States for a year, visiting more than 30 states before ending up in Albuquerque New Mexico. It was there that I began cooking, at the age of sixteen. The influences of the region still permeate my food creations. I also started playing the guitar, which has weaved it's way into and out of my life at various times. At 21 I moved back to New Jersey to attend Montclair State University, where I got a degree in Computer Science. I moved to San Diego to attend grad school at UC San Diego, and I lived in San Diego up until recently. My businesses are still centered there.
After grooming an internet startup through venture funding, I left the enterprise to run a web development shop with my partner, Michael Breen. Outside the Box was born in 1999, and is my primary form of income to this day.
Alas, wanderlust has struck again, and I am currently back in New Mexico, trying to save enough money to head to Thailand for a couple of months.
